How to learn tunes using my blog:
Here's how I would suggest you learn each tune:
Step 1) Watch the first video of the tune, and listen for the general feeling of the melody.
Step 2) Read through the music with your instrument. Go as slow as you need to go. Your goal is to gradually build up speed. When you feel like you know the notes pretty well, go on to step three.
Step 3) Watch the second video of the tune. Try to play along. If you can't play along right away, go back and look at the music. Try again until you can play (almost) without looking. When you mess up, don't always start over at the beginning! Try practicing just the parts that mess you up, then go back to the beginning.
Step 4) Play the song without looking. Try to play a little bit faster each time until you can play the song almost too fast. When you can play the song once all the way through without stopping, go on to step five.
Step 5) Play along with the first video of the tune. Keep practicing until you are able to lead the tune in a session!

I post only traditional Irish tunes. To the best of my knowledge, I will only post tunes which are classified as "Public Domain." If you own the rights to any of the songs I have posted here, and wish for me to remove them from my blog, I will gladly do so if you would please contact me regarding the infringement.
The Arran Boat Song
The Butterfly
Here is a Slip Jig (usually 9 quick beats per measure) called "The Butterfly."
Video 1 (careful... I speed up a little bit on the second time through the song):
Here is the notation and the chords. Some of the notes are different from what I play. Click it to see a larger view:
Video 2 (I slow it down a bit for you):
